It's very abstract, but not like many abstract photos which are devoid of texture and/or feeling
This has so much texture and form,
it reminds me of some sort of electronic music, with smooth movement, like the high pitched area
and then to the right you have the slower, deeper, bass tones...
I love the colours... they suit the melancholy 'atmosphere' (if an abstract shot can have an atmosphere, which this does)
I wonder what it would look like in more blue-ish hue....
thanks for the in-depth comment. I like them. I have had this photo just lying around for the past month. I forgot I even had it. When setting up this shot I obviously didn't expect it to be anything more than an abstract view of a can of grease. The broiler plate below the can added some texture that i liked. I did a little photoshopping and got the tones the way I wanted them. I liked your musical analogy.
It is very abstract, I agree. From the thumbnail, I thought it was your camera's lens or something.
Very interesting piece. The lack of colour does wonders- helps it seem more abstract and unusual.
Wow.. this is really striking with the streaks of frenzied light on the right of the screen. It seems the waterdrops are actually on the lense.. it creates a really interesting image.
the water drops kind of surprised me since i was experimenting. They turned out interesting. I wanted this photo to be both serene and chaotic. I'm glad you see that too. thanks.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
